Emergency fixing furnace inductivity blowers

White IrisesHere are some emergency repair methods for furnace inductivity blowers: – Check the power supply: – Reset the circuit breaker or replace the fuse: Check the furnace breaker box to see if the breaker for the furnace has tripped. If so, flip the switch back to the “on” position to reset it. If the furnace uses fuses instead of breakers, check if the fuse for the furnace circuit is blown and replace it with a fuse of the same amperage rating. Repeated tripping of the breaker or blowing of the fuse may indicate a more serious electrical problem, and professional help is needed. –

Examine the wiring: Disconnect all wires from the furnace fan and inducer motor, and check for voltage at each wire connection with a voltmeter. If there is no voltage at any connection, the problem lies in the wiring or power supply. Check for continuity between each wire and its corresponding terminal on the furnace fan and inducer motor. If continuity exists between terminals, replace defective components in the wiring or power supply.

Inspect the blower motor: – Check the motor bearings: If the inducer motor is hot but not turning, it usually indicates a failure of the bearings in the inducer motor. In this case, the inducer assembly needs to be replaced. Although temporarily getting the unit to run by oiling the bearings is possible, it will stop working again in a few hours or days.
